Shipping Information

Shipping Methods

Shipping method is dependent upon size and quantity of order. Most orders with smaller items and lower quantities will ship with USPS. Larger bulk orders will ship via FedEx Ground. We will occasionally use USPS only for lightweight orders or bulk orders of door hinges.
We use USPS Priority Mail to ship to Canada.
We will combine the shipping cost for the orders.
Please refer to the shipping map on this page for estimated delivery time to your area.
Next Day Shipping in most cases, orders placed by 12 PM ET will ship out on the same business day if the customer request it.

Shipping Rate

Shipping rates are based on the weight of the order.
For average orders ($200), shipping will cost about 10% of the total.

Sales Tax

Only North Carolina residents pay 7% tax, all other States are exempt from tax.

Returns

Please don't ship UPS, they do not deliver to our address. Ship FedEx or Post Office
Please inspect your order when received for damage and accuracy. We will gladly accept returns/exchanges if the items do not meet customers expectations. Items shipped back to us within 30 days of delivery will not be charged a restocking fee. If more than 30 days and less than 60 days, there is 10% restocking fee charged. Returns more than 60 days and less than 90days of delivery will be charged a restocking fee of 20%. We don't accept return in more than 90days of purchase. In order to expedite your return please complete the following steps:

You must obtain a Return Goods Authorization (RGA#) by submitting your E-mail request to admin@ebuilderdirect.com, or calling 1-704-489-2990. All returns for defective merchandise or incorrectly shipped items will be returned at our expense.

All products must be returned in re-salable condition in original packaging with all parts and manuals to receive credit. When we receive the merchandise you will be issued a credit or your replacement product(s) will be shipped.
Shipping fees aren’t refundable unless we shipped the incorrect items. When signing for your package, be sure to note any outside package damage to the driver. If there is package damage, open the package in front of the driver to inspect the contents before signing. Insurance will not cover packages damaged during shipment unless you inspect before signing.

Exchanges

Please email us or call us at 1-704-489-2990 and let us know why you want to exchange an item. Sometimes, an item may not need to be shipped back to get it to work right.

Buyer will pay for the shipping cost for exchanges if the item is not defective.

We can provide a shipping quote when we respond to the email or phone call.

Reporting Damaged Goods or Lost Shipments

DAMAGED shipments and/or packages that appear to be damaged should be refused at the time of delivery.

Please examine all orders upon receiving them for accuracy. All claims for wrong or missing items must be reported within 14 days of delivery. Any claims made outside of this period will not be honored.
Fedex will only cover claims for lost or damaged package within 21 days.

Body:I was having two outside doors replaced at my home and I noticed that the lock sets were old and corroded. So I checked Home Depot and Lowe's and saw that replacements ranged from $125 to $180. Then I went online and found this site. I couldn't believe how much lower the prices were. True the selections were more limited but if the quality was good I could save a bundle. Since the prices were so low I also decided to replace all the door knobs and door stops with matching satin nickle. I ordered all this stuff on Thursday night and got it the following Tuesday. I was very happy with the quality. The installation directions were not all that clear but it may be that I am just a novice. I had purchased 3 deadbolts. They were all keyed alike as I requested. It came with 4 keys. I called and asked about getting two extra and they sent them to me gratis. Nice touch.

Body:What a great experience. Super prices and quality! Ordered about 25 door handles and 6 lamp posts. Many many parts and out of all that we only had one wrong part. Received a 3 lamp head instead of a 2 lamp head and would not line up properly. Called e-builder and e-mailed them a photo showing the wrong part. She said no problem I will ship out a new one today and she did. Got the correct part the next day. That is superior service. Little afraid to order online but read their reviews and they were good. Only thing is they should update their reviews. There was not a lot of current ones and that is important. Will be ordering more from them soon.

Actually I liked the styles ebuilderdirect.com carries much more then the other stores. I received the products almost immediately and was so please with the quality. Body:We purchased one doorknob fixture first to see the quality because the price seemed to go to be true. When the doorknob arrived it was very good quality, had a 10 year warranty and was easy to install. We ended up ordering door knobs, hinges and other necessary hardware for our entire house. They had a phone number you could call with questions and an actual person to speak with when you called. On our second order one of te doorknobs we ordered was out of stock, customer service contacted us promptly and upgraded us to a higher quality knob free of charge. The order was quite large and everything came as ordered.

I would highly recommend this site to anyone doing a remodel or updates to their home. You will be very please with the overall product and your experience along the way. I only wish they had more selection on fixtures like sinks and lighting.
